Covenant House Home Team
The Home Team began making strides in 2009 with the vision of the team’s founder, Bill Cannon, the support of his family, and the dedication of Covenant House staff and Board members. With just 25 runners in the ING New York City Marathon that year, the team raised over $100,000 for Covenant House. Since then, hundreds of athletes have been raising much-needed funds for homeless youth, surpassing the $1 million mark in 2013!
After its debut in 2009, the Home Team expanded to other prestigious New York area races, including the NYC Triathlon and NYC Half-Marathon. The team now includes the Philadelphia Marathon among other races across the country. We are hoping to add the Blue Cross Broad Street Run in the future. If you are planning to participate in the Philadelphia Marathon, consider joining the Home Team to make strides for homeless youth.
