On April 28, 2017 Women Unite to Sleep Out for one night so homeless girls don’t have to.
The Sleep Out is an international movement where hundreds of caring, proactive individuals gather together to sleep outside in solidarity with our homeless, runaway and trafficked young people. In an inspirational evening held at our shelter, you will meet our staff and kids, hear their stories, gain an understanding of the issues they face, and learn all about our programs and services.
Homelessness is one of the most traumatic experiences a young person could endure, and there is a very specific and unique set of issues that comes along with being a homeless girl. That’s why we’re starting our first annual Sleep Out: Women Unite; for women across Greater Philadelphia to join together to show our girls they’re not alone, and to raise critical funds and awareness to give these girls the opportunity to transform their lives and move forward to independence.
It’s easy to get involved. Start a team, participate individually… Get in a sleeping bag! Sign up here now or email Missy Dolaway, firstname.lastname@example.org, with any questions.
