SHARAYA’S TALE OF TRIUMPH
The bright young woman Sharaya is today has overcome unimaginable odds. Sharaya arrived at our Sanctuary Program in 2021 after surviving domestic violence and homelessness, but through her unwavering spirit and the support of CHPA, she emerged victorious. She graduated high school, secured a stable job, found a place she proudly calls her own and is pursuing higher education – all testaments to her commitment to education and personal growth.
“Covenant House helped me get into a structure. They gave me a reason to leave my bed everyday and the willpower to do something with my life. They helped me move past my traumas and continue to grow as I go down the road. I’m now working full time and studying to become an Xray technician. I want a financially stable life… and I want to be happy.”
