Covenant House Pennsylvania is overseen by 12 board members who meet quarterly, led by our Board Chair, Robert Gorman. 

 

The CHPA board oversees the Chief Executive Officer who leads a senior team of five- a Chief Program Officer, a Chief Finance Officer, a Chief People and Culture Officer, a Chief Operating Officer and a Chief Development Officer. In turn, the senior team leads a staff of over 60 full-time and part-time staff and a number of per diem staff.

Robert Gorman
Rob Gorman graduated from Villanova university in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He is the founder and managing partner of Kita, Gorman & Associates, a full-service wealth management and financial planning firm. After attending a Covenant House Pennsylvania event, Rob was moved by the mission of helping the homeless youth of Philadelphia and motivated to take action with the organization. He started working with Covenant House Pennsylvania in 2009 to develop the Young Professional Associate Board, which he ran for seven years. He became a member of Covenant House PA’s Board of Directors in 2014 and served as the chair of the Finance Committee from 2015 until 2019. From 2019 to 2023 he was the vice-chair of the board as well as the chair of the Governance Committee. His hope is that, through his work with Covenant House Pennsylvania, he can make a lasting impact on the lives of at-risk youth by providing them with the tools they need to positively impact their future.

Jen Sparks
Jen Sparks is Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager for Truist Financial Corporation. She works in PA & NJ as a growth mindset banking partner to Middle Market companies and Not For Profits and facilitates management of leveraging a dedicated team of industry consultants, corporate and public finance, investment banking, insurance, wealth and professionals to enhance enterprise value, returns, efficiencies, and create simplicity. Named to this position in January 2022, Jen has more than fifteen years of financial services experience. She previously served as a Middle Market Banker, Underwriter/Portfolio Manager, and Commercial Banker for over eleven years with Citizens Bank in the PA, NJ & DE regions. Passionate about the Philadelphia area business and philanthropic community, Jen serves as Executive Board Member and Secretary to Covenant House of Pennsylvania, Executive Board Member of Cradle of Liberty Council, Boy Scouts of Philadelphia, and Executive Vice President and Board Member of The Mid-Atlantic Food Trade Association. Jen is a graduate of Temple University's Fox School of Business and holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Holy Family University. When she isn't working, Jen enjoys time with her family and son Daniel, a Junior at Father Judge High School, running with her Rhodesian Ridgeback Dexter, and classes at Orangetheory Fitness.
